New product offers shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, liquid soap and bath mousse in packaging with less plastic 96%
São Paulo, August 2023 – Committed to the trend of increasingly sustainable operations in hospitality, Harus, a leading brand in the Brazilian amenities market, has just launched new sachets with certified paper and 96% less plastic than conventional packaging. The new feature is available for Vida line products.
“Thinking about the sustainability of the chain is part of Harus’ DNA. And, in line with this commitment, we have invested in expanding our range of products whose packaging and formulas are environmentally friendly and reduce waste”, points out Luiz Roberto Magrin Filho, general director of Harus.
Certified paper is a material produced within standards that guarantee the minimum possible environmental impact, through the use of areas planted and managed exclusively for its manufacture – thus avoiding damage to local biodiversity. The sachets also feature liquid PE (polyethylene) technology, which allows for a reduction of 96% in plastic compared to a conventional bottle.
The new packaging is available in the Vida line, with shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, liquid soap and bath mousse in Pitanga or Mandarina and Menta versions. They can also be personalized with the hosting brand. Sachets, in fact, are among the market's favorite formats, representing approximately 60% of amenities sold.
“The number of guests who prefer accommodation with sustainable solutions is increasing. So, opting for amenities that are in line with this thinking is a way to add value and stand out in the market”, says Magrin Filho.
To help its partners on this journey, Harus already has other sustainable solutions, such as the Sólido line, with 2-in-1 bar products (eliminating the use of plastic), and the Vegan line (one of the brand's commercial successes).
In addition, it has its own line of 100% products that are biodegradable and not tested on animals. The bottles are produced with recycled PET or polyethylene with the Green Plastic seal. The company also offers a portfolio of dispensers that reduce packaging disposal and help reduce waste.
Another initiative was the launch of two product lines, in partnership with Regina Segui and Carla Guerra, developed with natural ingredients and biodegradable formulas, free of parabens, mineral oils and silicones.
Harus, a leading brand in the Brazilian amenities market, is present in all hospitality segments with its diverse line of personalized products and private brands, including Alma Brasil. The modern factory, located in the city of Franca (SP), has the capacity to produce soaps, shampoos, moisturizers, body oils and a multitude of other items.
From packaging design to the final product, the company develops exclusive formulations for national and international icon brands, including O Boticário, Vinotage (Grupo Família Valduga), L'Occitane and Costa Brazil.
In its 27-year history, the company has expanded its business with products for the food and hotel sectors, through partner brands.
