Leader in the national amenities market, the company estimates an increase of 33% in sales in the first half of 2022 compared to pre-pandemic numbers in 2019
São Paulo, July 2022 – The resumption of Brazilian tourism continues firmly in 2022. According to data from IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the sector recorded an increase of 50.2% in activities during the first five months of 2022, compared to the same period in last year.
The return of travelers to the four corners of the country has been stimulating business growth throughout the hospitality chain, as demonstrated by Harus, national leader in the amenities market. The company estimates that its sales grew by 33% in the first half of 2022, compared to pre-pandemic numbers in 2019.
“Our forecast is to close the year with an increase of around 40% on the same basis, which demonstrates the solidity of the resumption of operations at Harus and the sector as a whole”, says Luiz Roberto Magrin Filho, general director of the company .
In addition to the expansion of hospitality activities in the country, he attributes the result of the first half of the year to two factors. First, Harus' investment in innovation and sustainability to keep its item offering always updated and in line with what the market expects.
Last year, the company opened a modern factory in Franca (SP), in addition to new distributors around the country to continue offering the best logistics in the hospitality sector.
The second factor, he says, is the strength of the lasting relationships built with his clients over almost three decades. “The last two years have not been easy for our sector. But, attentive to the needs of our partners and the market, we were able to maintain existing partnerships and attract new customers, even during such a challenging period”, he states.
From now on, growth will also be made possible by the launch of new products, both from our own line, Alma Brasil, and from partner brands – which today include recognized brands, such as L'Occitane, Costa Brazil, O Boticário, Vinotage and KUR Cosméticos.
“We will also be attending various events in the second half of the year, which will serve to further strengthen our relationships in the sector and continue to contribute to the increase in Harus’ sales”, says Magrin Filho.
Still in July, the company participates in Encatho & Exprotel 2022, in Florianópolis, between the 26th and 28th of July. Furthermore, Harus will be present at Equipotel, which takes place in the city of São Paulo in September, and at two fairs in the Northeast Region: Hotel & Food Nordeste, in Recife (PE) and the Imperatriz Commerce and Industry Fair (Fecoimp 2022 ), in Maranhão. The agenda can still be expanded with events in the hospitality sector.
Harus has more than 10 thousand customers, served in Brazil and also in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, among others. The company has distributors in Franca, Fortaleza, São Luís, Porto Seguro, Recife, Brasília, Caldas Novas and Goiânia, a distribution center in Maceió – to serve the North and Northeast regions – and a branch in Assunção, Paraguay.
In addition to its own amenities and those developed exclusively for hotel chains, it also offers items in the accessories, electronics, bed and bath segments. With the Harus Food unit, the company has been supplying food products, developed in partnership with recognized brands, including Júnior Alimentos, Le Petit, Homemade, Ísis, Bauducco and Vigor.
