São Paulo, July 2021 – Keeping an eye on the main trends in global hospitality, the Intercity Hotels chain has been prioritizing sustainable products to provide its guests, in addition to well-being and practicality, with a conscious consumption experience. Therefore, the ICH Group company is renewing the line of personal hygiene amenities in its 41 hotel units with new dispensers developed by Harus.
“The initiative is part of our effort to increasingly reduce the waste footprint and environmental impact of our hotels. The dispensers encourage guests to use only what is necessary”, explains Mitisie Trzeciak, general manager of the Piazza Navona by Intercity Hotels unit and responsible for the chain's governance operations.
Produced at the Harus factory, in the city of Franca (SP), the 2x1 dispensers for the shampoo, conditioner and soap line were developed with the special Pará nut fragrance. All products have a green plastic seal, are biodegradable and are not tested on animals.
They will be installed in the shower box and sink of the apartments. Guests will also have the option of bar soap packaged with recycled Kraft paper. According to Harus, the dispensers generate cost savings between 30% and 60%.
Mitisie says that guests approved the use of the new packaging in the testing phase and, therefore, she believes in the product's full acceptance. “Intercity is a cool and urban network, which serves all public profiles. And, as service providers, we must be prepared to respond to the new needs of customers, including the scenario brought about by the pandemic”, he states.
This is not the first partnership between the company and Intercity Hotels. “We have been partners with Harus for a long time. Over the years, we have created a relationship of trust due to the quality of the products, ease of communication and delivery time”, says the chain manager.
Among other lines of amenities produced by Harus and used by Intercity Hotels are special L'Occitane kits offered, for example, in packages intended for couples on their wedding night.
